That Soul I Know Album Illustration
about
Illustration for Speaks' album That Soul I Know on Empty Hand Records, featuring a global lineup of guest MCs including Ced Gee, Planet Asia, Wordsworth, 4-Ize, Supastition, Phill Most Chill, Uncle Mic Nitro, Krash Slaughta, Habitat 617 and Simmer. The artwork centres on a portrait of Speaks thoughtfully wandering through a surreal, sunburnt-toned landscape, paired with hand-drawn, liquid-like typography across the front and back covers — a visual homage to the golden-era boom bap influences that shaped the record.
